RFEM provides many interfaces that allow data to be exchanged within BIM processes. The specified standard allows partial safety and combination factors automatically to be assigned. If this happens, you will need to manually create the load and result combinations (see Chapter 5.5.1 & Chapter 5.6.1). The options below can’t be accessed if this box is not cleared. RFEM can automatically create load and result combinations by providing load cases with the correct combination coefficients and partial safety factors. The main program RFEM can be used to create structures, materials, and loads for spatial and planar structural systems that include plates, walls, shells, members, and other elements. The data input can be further enhanced by adding-on modules that automatically create connections and structures, and carry out analyses and design work. RFEM can provide deformations, soil contact stresses, and internal and support forces. You can adjust the combination coefficients and partial safety factors of the current standard by pressing the button. The Z-axis in CAD programs is normally directed upwards, while structural analysis programs are usually directed downwards. This dialog section controls the orientation of Z’s global axis. It is required to have installed the program Dlubal RFEM with active RFEM and RFCOM licences to use this tool. It allows the user to import data from RFEM into Grasshopper and also to define new model data through the Grasshopper interface. This Plug-In enables an interoperability between RFEM and Grasshopper through the RFCOM API.
